Teacher Scholars Eligible for Weeklong Summer Travel Experience

All Teacher Scholars will be eligible to participate in a week-long summer travel experience sponsored by the Gilder Lehrman Institute.

Summer trips include scholar speakers, discussion groups, and site visits. All course materials and travel expenses are covered. Teacher Scholars from Year 1 (Modules 1-3) went to Massachusetts to explore the theme "From First Contact to Freedom: Plymouth, Braintree, and Boston".

Transatlantic Teacher Scholars in Module 4 went to Barbados to study the transatlantic slave trade.

Teacher Scholars from Year 2 (Modules 5-6) visited Colorado to study the American West in the Denver area. Future trips include New York City, Chicago, and Birmingham.
